Betty Boo and industry panel present Dan Croll with Musicians Benevolent Fund Songwriting Award

Dan Croll from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts last night received the Musicians Benevolent Fund Songwriting Award of £5,000.

Some of the country’s most talented young songwriters were showcased at the Fund's 8th Annual Songwriting Awards Final at The Bedford in Balham. Six acts performed in front of a panel of industry experts chaired by Alison Clarkson, better known as pop star Betty Boo.

In addition to Dan Croll receiving the main award, Daniel Bryer from the University of Gloucestershire and Ben Whelan from Leeds Metropolitan University both received a Development Award of £1,250.
