We are delighted to announce the new Musicians Benevolent Fund Scholarship in collaboration with  the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP). One deserving student will be awarded a fully funded place on the ICMP’s part-time Foundation Degree in Creative Musicianship starting September 2010.

The scholarship is open to students of bass, drums, vocals or guitar for a place on the ICMP’s new part-time Foundation Degree in Creative Musicianship. This new, innovative course is focused on developing each individual musician’s unique ‘creative voice’, their performance skills to industry standard, and equipping them with the entrepreneurial and business skills required to capitalise on their creative abilities. Validated by Middlesex University, this course is also available as a full-time course and will launch September 2010.

As well as a place on the course, the winner will also be given the opportunity to complete their work experience with us, perform at charity showcases and gigs, become a Friend of the Fund for free and write a scholarship diary for our website.

Closing date for entries is 22nd July 2010. The scholarships are open to anyone from the UK or internationally. Please visit the ICMP website for information about the scholarship and how to apply at ICMP's website
