Following on from the success of the inaugural B Festival 2010, the award
winning vocalists VOCES8 are to host an exciting evening with choirs and vocal
groups from around the world. Choirs participating have the chance to win an
award from the Musicians Benevolent Fund.
B Festival, which will take place on Thursday 28th April, will have a wide
array of talent including world class vocalists, Roxorloops the world famous
beatboxing champion, a young a cappella ensemble Apollo 5 and several others.
B Festival celebrates the power of the voice, sharing an evening of great
music that recognises the talents of Bedfordshire vocalists. VOCES8 give their
own workshops to the choirs participating where they hope to inspire creativity
through music. Here the choirs have the chance to win some incredible prizes
including a half-day recording studio session and two awards from the Musicians
Benevolent Fund and T.M. Lewin.
VOCES8 will be joining forces with the resident group Bedford School Chapel
Choir to perform ‘Zadok the Priest’, a piece performed at Royal occasions. The
perfect piece to kick off your Royal Wedding celebrations.
Entrance is free for everyone and raffle prizes to be won including a flight
on a glider, the VOCES8 CD collection and champagne. For more information
please visit the B Festival
website.
