How to apply

Please call our confidential Freephone Application Helpline on 0800 082 6700. Our Helpline advisers will ask some simple questions to find it out if you may be eligible for support. If they suggest you make an application, they will send you an application pack.

The Application Process

The application pack consists of an application form to fill in, financial details statement form and guidelines to help you complete the forms.

The application form asks about your musical background, career and your reason for approaching us.

We ask for two referees, one of whom should be a professional musician. We will contact your referees to confirm your professional career though we will not give them any information about your application.

The financial details statement asks about your financial situation. Many people find it difficult to complete a statement like this so we provide guidelines explaining exactly what we need. We base our assessment on household income, so we will also ask for details of your partner’s financial situation (or anyone else living at the same address).

If you have any questions while completing the forms call our Freephone Application Helpline on 0800 082 6700.

After your forms have been submitted

We will let you know when we have received your forms. If we have any further questions we will let you know straightaway. We will then contact your two referees.

As soon as we have heard back from your referees we will contact you again and let you know the outcome of your application.
