Young Talent Awards

The Young Talent Awards are an important source of funding for outstanding young musicians who are aged 18 or under and in financial need.

Who we can help

Those aged under 18 years of age can apply for an award towards one of the following:

  • the cost of buying an instrument
  • music lessons with a private teacher
  • fees for a Saturday music centre
  • travel expenses to attend a Saturday music centre

Those aged 18 years of age and about to enter the first year at university or college, can apply towards the cost of buying an instrument.

Applicants should be British or Irish, or have been resident in the UK or Ireland for at least 3 years on the closing date.

In 2009, we distributed over £100,000 to more than 180 musically gifted young people. Awards range from £200 to £1,000.
