Snape Maltings (Formerly Aldeburgh Music)
Snape Maltings is a place of energy and inspiration – one of the world’s leading centres of music and a visitor destination of outstanding natural beauty. The creative campus is home to a year-round programme with a unique artistic model. Having grown out of the Aldeburgh Festival, it has realised founder Benjamin Britten’s vision for an international centre of music whose performance programme makes its mark on the world’s stage and which has artist development, learning and community inclusion as its creative engine. Snape Maltings’ programme ranges from development opportunities for musicians at all career stages to work that explores music’s ability to have a positive impact on people’s lives when they need it most.
Brighter Sound is a creative music company. We champion young and emerging musicians, creating the conditions to enable them to become the innovators and contributors to 21st century music practice. We work to support a diverse and equal music industry to provide increased opportunities for emerging musicians to develop their artistic confidence and originality.
Bristol Music Trust
Bristol Music Trust (BMT) aims is to provide creative, inspirational and diverse musical experiences for the people of Bristol, the South West and beyond through performance, music-making, education and talent development. BMT runs Bristol's iconic Colston Hall and has an incredibly popular and diverse programme, attracting around 250,000 people per year. BMT also manages Bristol Plays Music (BPM), the only music education hub in the UK based in a professional performance venue, reaching over 40,000 young people across the Bristol area with 17,000 hours of music per year.
Drake Music (DM) is a national charity specialising in using technology to remove disabling barriers to music-making. DM has been a leader in accessible music making for over 25 years, pioneering the use of music technology to break down the barriers experienced by Disabled musicians so that they can participate as creative practitioners in their own right. We believe everyone has the right to express themselves creatively through music. Our aim is to increase participation in music-making at all levels by breaking down disabling barriers faced by disabled musicians
English Folk Dance and Song Society
English Folk Dance and Song Society are the national development agency for the English Folk Arts, and work locally, nationally and internationally to deliver areas of activity that cover artistic development & performance, learning & participation, and advocacy
The Music Works
Our mission is to transform lives through music. We’re specialists in working with young people in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning, and in life. Based in Gloucestershire, and working out of three studios, we are the county’s only community music organisation with a focus on music technology and band development. Last year, we supported over 1,000 young people, many of whom achieved transformational changes in their lives. We have a passion for music and inclusion and a practice that focuses on engagement, creativity and empowerment.
Higher Rhythm Ltd
Higher Rhythm exists to raise aspiration and develop new opportunity by providing music, media and digital focused activities and experiences that nurture co-operation between people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. We offer professional development, training and support for individuals and organisations, and promote inclusion of people who would be otherwise, economically or socially marginalised.
Lancaster Jazz Festival
Lancaster Jazz Festival is rooted in artist development and puts the development of emerging artists at the heart of all of its work. We tailor our provision to ensure we work with emerging artists year-round: commissioning new works, setting up collaborations and training opportunities, facilitating peer mentoring sessions, connecting emerging artists with established mentors to help develop practice, producing and then documenting beautiful events. This year round work then feeds into an annual festival that aims to be one of the most pioneering in the UK - an artists’ playground.
Manchester Jazz Festival
Manchester Jazz Festival (mjf) is the leading contemporary jazz event in the UK and has for 20 years curated a programme that pioneers the creation and performance of new jazz work, new commissions, collaborations and innovative audience development initiatives that disseminate the music to ever larger and more diverse listeners
National Opera Studio
The National Opera Studio exists to train a select group of talented young musicians to become the leading artists of their generation. We play a pivotal role in the pipeline of exceptional talent development in the UK, providing bespoke professional training for singers and répétiteurs, and preparing them for life on an international stage. We aim to make a significant contribution to the opera ecology and the wider creative and cultural life of the UK through the provision of top-quality professional training, and by our proactive engagement and position in the sector.
National Youth Jazz Orchestra
NYJO is a registered charity, whose mission is to promote jazz as an engaging and inspirational art-form through world-class performances and training opportunities. NYJO has helped launch the careers of many of the UK’s most renowned musicians including Guy Barker, Amy Winehouse & Gwilym Simcock. In addition to the main performing band, the organisation operates the weekly NYJO Academy, and a nationwide series of workshops and educational events. NYJO celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015 and recently released a special double-album ‘NYJO FIFTY
Oh Yeah Music Centre
Oh Yeah is Belfast's dedicated music hub. It provides the essential resources of rehearsal rooms, a live venue, training rooms, songwriting space and units for music industry tenants including a recording studio. It also features the NI Music Exhibition, and runs a series of development and outreach programmes, graduated in ability from grass-roots introductions to industry-ready levels.
Widely acknowledged for its pioneering approach to the role of an orchestra in the 21st century, the Philharmonia leads the field for the quality of its playing and its innovative work with residencies, music education, audience development and the use of new technology to reach a global audience. Together with its relationships with the world’s most sought-after artists, most importantly its Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor Esa-Pekka Salonen, the Philharmonia is at the heart of British musical life.
Punch is an award-winning UK music development agency - Last year we commissioned, programmed and toured over 150 professional artists. As regional partner for Capital Xtra "Music Potential" we've mentored over 80 emerging musicians since 2013. Our festival, BASS, celebrated its tenth anniversary last year, with over 33k people attending events throughout October.
Scottish Music Centre
The Scottish Music Centre is at the heart of the national music industry in all its forms. From preserving our musical heritage with the ever-expanding archive, to representing contemporary composers and musicians, the SMC stands at the forefront. Our aim is to champion the wealth of talent that abounds in Scotland’s musical community by actively promoting music locally, nationally and internationally.
As well as this, the SMC performs an array of essential services such as
– Sheet music: Our online shop is the first port of call and a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to use Scottish music in performance – say in an orchestra, choir, film or TV programme.
– Membership: Helping composers and singer songwriters be heard among the crowd
– Youth Projects: Discovering and nurturing new talent through our Music+ and Hit The Road programmes.
Serious is the UK's leading producer of live jazz, world and contemporary music. The annual EFG London Jazz Festival is our flagship event and we also produce a diverse year-round programme which includes festival curation, national and international tours, talent development, Learning & Participation projects and bespoke events
Sound City (Liverpool)

Since it’s inception in 2008, Liverpool Sound City has grown into one of the most important and well-respected cultural events in the UK. Known as the ‘UKs leading independent festival for new music’, Sound City scours the planet for the best breakthrough acts to bring you your favourite artists you haven’t heard yet.
Sound is a new music organisation based in NE Scotland. We run Scotland's only festival of new music and organise learning/participation activities and promote/produce work throughout the year. Through commissioning, participation activities & audience development initiatives, we aim to increase access to new music, encourage excellence and experimentation, and develop talent.
We bring together world class artists and local people in one of the most unusual and creative corners of London. Drawing inspiration from our area, we produce two annual music festivals and run creative music projects throughout the year in the local community. In an area often seen to be full of challenges, we focus on music and its power to bring people together, change perspectives, engage the body, emotions and intellect and to spread energy.

Young Classical Artists Trust
YCAT Artist Management provides a full management service to YCAT artists including promotion, tour booking, financial and travel management, professional media and publicity materials plus general administrative duties. YCAT Sounding Board provides expert career development, which is available to all musicians. Sounding Board consists of seminars and workshops, project mentoring and individual coaching sessions, with materials to be collated into an online resource.
