Parkhouse Award

This biennial Award was set up in memory of the internationally renowned chamber pianist, David Parkhouse, and the first award was made in 1991. The aim is to launch the career of a young chamber ensemble of piano with strings (duos, trios and piano quartets). All nationalities may enter, whether based in the UK or overseas and must have been performing together regularly during 2019 and 2020. Applicants should be no more than 32 years of age by 1 December 2020, with aggregates as follows: Duos aggregate of 60 years with an upper age of 32, Trios aggregate of 90 years with an upper age of 32, Quartets aggregate of 120 years with an upper age of 32. The prize is three concerts in prestigious concert venues in London and the north of England during 2021-2. There are also other concert opportunities in the south of England.
