York Early Music International Young Artists Competition

National Centre for Early Music

This biennial Competition is open to ensembles of a minimum of two people.  They must be aged between 17 and 35, and play repertory of any period from the Middle Ages to the 19th century on period instruments. The winners receive a cheque for £1,000 plus an invitation to return to the York Early Music Festival and a variety of recording opportunities. Accommodation is provided. Entry fee of £100 per ensemble.
