Adam Teixeira is “a highly accomplished musician” [Ian Mann] with a strong individuality and charisma on the bandstand. Expressing his passion for music to audiences and fellow musicians in every performance.
 
Adam is an in demand drummer and percussionist on the London music scene. Performing regularly with the likes of; Adam Teixeira Group Field, BirdWorld, Alina Bzhezhinska Hip Harp, Julian Costello Quartet, Monika Lidke, Vitor Pereira Quintet, TwoSpeak. Adam has toured extensively in the UK and performed on international stages in the Europe, Canada, India and South Korea. Working with such notable artists as; Greg Osby (USA) Rudresh Mahanthappa (USA) Alex Stuart (France) Pat LaBarbera (CAN) Tony Malaby (USA) David Virelles (USA) Ingrid Jensen (USA) Toni Kofi (UK) Olcay Bayir (UK) Maciek Pysk (UK) Gregor Riddell (UK) Jangeun Bae (S.Korea) Karama(UK).
 
After moving to London in 2013 from his home of Toronto, Canada, Adam has released his own albums as a leader and has appeared on several studio recordings which showcase his versatility and creative approach in different musical genres including; jazz, pop, world music, contemporary, electronic and folk music. Adam has recorded at professional studios in London, Italy and most recently Norway, working with world-renowned engineers and producers.
 
Adam obtained formal studies in Jazz performance at Humber College in 2007 and was accepted to participate in the International Jazz Workshop along with a Self-directed Creative residency at The Banff Centre for the Arts. He has since been awarded the Chalmers Professional Development Grant from the Ontario Arts Council and Grants to Professional musicians from the Canada Council for the Arts to fulfill advanced study of world rhythms
