Isha Crichlow is a London-based clarinettist studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Isha previously trained at London’s Centre for Young Musicians, where she was awarded the Lizbeth Elliott Memorial Prize for Woodwind in her final year. Isha is a versatile and experienced orchestral player, and has performed with ensembles such as the London Mahler Orchestra, University of London Symphony Orchestra and Asyla Ensemble, and was a member of the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra in 2017. She has also performed alongside members of the London Mozart Players, London Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra. She has performed concertos with the London Youth Wind Band, Tempest Symphony Orchestra and London Schools Chamber Orchestra. Isha is also passionate about performing contemporary works for the clarinet, and took part in the ‘This is Rattle’ concert series in 2017 with the GSMD New Music Ensemble. Isha has recently had a set of three solo clarinet pieces written for her by Marcus Dawe which she performed as part of the Barbican’s Sound Unbound classical weekend festival in May 2019.
