Lawrence Whitehead is a composer based in South Wales. In July 2012, he secured a First Class Honours Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD) in Cardiff where he specialised in Creative Music Technology.

In 2016, Lawrence was one of 12 composers selected from over 300 international applicants to participate in the prestigious ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis, during which he had the opportunity to record his music at the Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox Studios with the Hollywood Studio Symphony orchestra.

Since 2010, Lawrence has been composer-in-residence for the Bristol-based choir, Harmonia Sacra. Several of his choral works feature on a new album, Lux Memoriaque, released by Nimbus Records in 2017.
