Luke Moore is a professional composer, arranger & multi-instrumentalist based in Liverpool. Recent commissions include Above Us Only Stars, a multidisciplinary performance piece commissioned for the European Week of Astronomy & Space Science, a series of pieces inspired by the Viking settlement of Britain and an original soundtrack to George Méliès seminal science-fiction film, A Trip to the Moon.

In 2013, Luke founded Operation Lightfoot as a platform for collaborations with guest singer-songwriters, musicians & producers. Under his artistic direction, the project has since expanded to incorporate elements of visual art, dance, film, poetry & theatre for larger scale performances. Operation Lightfoot recently released Trans-Siberian, their latest single written in collaboration with Berlin born electronic artist Dorothy Bird.

As an arranger, Luke works with a wide range of established & emerging acts, primarily orchestrating strings/brass parts. Previous studio work has been broadcast on BBC Radio 2, 6Music & Channel 4, with live performances at festivals across the UK. Luke has recently commenced work on a 2 year project funded by Children in Need to help improve the mental health of young people through an ongoing programme of creative activities. Other work includes curating a summer programme of events (Chester Bandstand), sound design, video production & stage management.
