Hailing from West London, powerhouse Mahalia Fontaine debuted as a solo artist with her first single 'Empires' earlier this year. Mahalia Fontaine's music is an extension of her bold personality with an upbringing in the church (Gospel) and Soul and Jazz. Drawing influences from Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Mahalia Jackson, Rachelle Ferrell and Ella Fitzgerald. Mahalia Fontaine's music is both electrifying and a fusion of her background and influences and hopes to bring her Afro-Caribbean background and soul stirring vocals to the world.

Mahalia is also a BIMM alumni and graduated in 2018, whilst completing her degree Mahalia sang at the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and has toured both the UK and US with The Kingdom Choir. From the depth of her experiences, this free spirit inspires a new generation of music lovers with liberation, faith, and passion.

Help Musicians support has given me a clear mind to get this project started. My upcoming and debuting EP 'Affairs of her Heart' is a project that I hold close to me, and includes life's hardest but beautiful moments. I want it to inspire and give people a cathartic release, as Bob Marley once stated " One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain" this is what I aim for 'Affairs of her Heart' to be.
