I began learning the horn aged 8 with my local music service. Playing in the bands and orchestras there made me want to pursue a career a music.

Before starting at the RCM I gained a place in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, where I had the chance to perform Mahler's 9th Symphony at the BBC Proms and the Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin.

Since starting at the RCM, I have played in various high profile projects with the RCM's Opera, Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestra's, with a particular highlight being Strauss' 'Ein Heldenleben' conducted by Rafael Payare.

I also gained a place on the LSO Brass Academy, where I had the opportunity to play in Masterclasses, rep sessions and mock recording sessions with the LSO Brass principal players, culminating in a mass concert at the end of the course.

I am looking very much looking forward to my Master's course at the RCM, which will further help me pursue my dream of becoming a professional orchestral musician.
In September I will begin a Mmus postgraduate course at the Royal College of Music. Thanks to the generous support from Help Musicians UK I will be able to pay my tuition fees for the course and can therefore concentrate purely on my study
