Celebrating commitment at annual Festival of St Cecilia

We are pleased to announce that the annual Festival of St Cecilia will take place on Wednesday 23 November at 11am at Westminster Abbey, London SW1P 3PA.

The event dates back to 1946 and has been famous for bringing together the choirs of Westminster Cathedral, St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. We are delighted that the choirs will join us for the Celebration to perform the premiere of an anthem by renowned composer Toby Young, specially commissioned by RVW Trust.

We are honoured to have the company of legendary flautist Sir James Galway, as well as Chineke! Foundation founder Chi-chi Nwanoku MBE at the service. Initiated last year with much acclaim, the event will also benefit from a solo instrumental and personal testimonial given by a musician we helped, putting Help Musicians UK at the heart of the service celebrating music.

The theme of this year’s event is Commitment, reflecting the key priorities for the charity as we move forward to celebrating our centenary in 2021, ensuring all musicians in the UK are supported and empowered.

There are a limited number of complimentary tickets and they are allocated on a first come-first serve basis. Whilst tickets are free, we welcome donations with the booking.

Visit our shop page to book. Booking closes on Friday 28 October 2016.
