CONGRATULATIONS TO PERFORMERS & FIGURES IN THE MUSIC WORLD RECEIVING QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY HONOURS

A number of musicians and key figures in the industry have been recognised in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to music.

Amongst the recipients including Warner Music owner Len Blavatnik, who picked up a knighthood, Ed Sheeran recieved an MBE, Sir Paul Paul McCartney was handed a prestigious Companion Of Honour award, Emeli Sande, Chi Chi Nwanoku MBE, Gerald Hunter Finley who fundraised for Help Musicians UK's in 2014. George Benjamin was knighted, Peter Wilkinson, Chris Macmeikan, Claire Rashleigh Garnett, Sarah Patricia Connolly, Sade (Helen Folasade Abu) and Sandie Shaw, pop star and now honorary president of the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC), was made an MBE.

Presented by Queen Elizabeth II and published in the official Crown newspaper, the royal honours celebrate outstanding commitment and achievement across various areas.
