We know from our recent survey that the ongoing crisis is continuing to have an impact on musicians’ wellbeing, with concerns about the future causing anxiety for many. Understanding these challenges, as well as financial worries and a lack of opportunities to perform, we’re taking action in supporting early detection and preventative measures for mental health challenges.
Thrive is the UK’s only NHS-approved app focused on the prevention and early detection of common mental health conditions. The app offers 24/7 support for mental health and wellbeing, helping users manage common disorders such as anxiety and depression. As well as coping mechanisms and activity sessions, Thrive users can also access live, one-to-one coaching sessions with qualified coaches and set goals to help with focus.
The addition of Thrive further bolsters the charity’s mental health support, with its flagship listening ear and support service, Music Minds Matter, continuing to be available around the clock for musicians struggling to cope.
