Help Musicians UK, the leading independent music charity, is proud to announce that the Fusion Fund is now open for applications in England. Grants of up to £5,000 are available for creative collaborations and research and development, for England-based artists.

HMUK is looking for exciting collaborations that create work across art forms, creative sectors and other disciplines. The Fusion Fund is designed to give musicians and ensembles the much-needed chance to develop and test new work, ideas or potential careers directions.

  • Grants between £2,000 – £5,000 to support cross-disciplinary, collaborative, and research and development projects
  • Open to England-based musicians and ensembles
  • Applications close on Friday, 23 February 2018
  • Applicants must be over the age of 21, with no upper age limit

Claire Gevaux, Creative Programme Director said: “This fund acts as a catalyst which empowers musicians to push the boundaries of what they can do as performers when working with other disciplines. The first two rounds of the Fusion Fund in Northern Ireland and Scotland have proven to be incredibly successful, and we’re excited to see the applications we get from the English round.”

The fund is open to professional and emerging professional musicians of all genres and disciplines. Applicants can include solo instrumentalists, conductors, composers, vocalists, singer songwriters or multidisciplinary artists.

Applications are open from Tuesday 2 January 2018 until Friday 23 Feb 2018.
