Six musicians from the Future Bubblers scheme have received further support from Help Musicians with Alumni Bursaries.
In collaboration with the acclaimed Future Bubblers programme, Help Musicians offers £1K grants to the scheme’s graduates to help them continue to build a sustainable and thriving career in music.
As part of a competitive process, Future Bubblers alumni candidates can apply for funding for coaching, recording, live act development or the purchase of equipment.
Alumni Bursary-supported experimental electronic artist, Kayla Painter, said: “This funding will help me bring to life my next EP due for release in 2020. I will be using the fund towards working with artists that share my vision to build on my aesthetic and provide a strong visual element to the product. It will also enable me to reach new fans through the promotional materials I will be able to create.”
An expansion of the Gilles Peterson and Brownswood Music network, Future Bubblers discovers and nurtures leftfield talent from across the UK. The scheme provides an inclusive network of resources for up-and-coming artists and offers them the opportunity to partner up with prominent industry mentors.
You can now apply to be a Future Bubbler for Year 5 - just fill out the form on the Future Bubblers website. Applications close on 2 September.
