Help Arts Council England support artists in their careers

Arts Council England has commissioned Nordicity and Sound Diplomacy to conduct a piece of research to better understand the career development of artists and bands in the contemporary popular music sector.

The aim is to understand the career needs and barriers for every artist in the music industry and gain input to help determine the future of music artist support in England.

As the UK’s leading charity for professional musicians, Help Musicians UK urges musicians to complete this short survey.

It is intended for every music artist, songwriter, composer, band and musician in England, as well as the teams and music industry around them (managers, labels, publishers, and venues).

Stephen Hignell, Manager at Nordicity said:

“In a time of clear change and new pressures on the music industry, it is important that the support network and infrastructure around artists evolves to reflect these new realities. In order to address artists’ needs, our research and this survey provides artists with a necessary voice to help influence their future. As a result, this survey is meant for every music artist and industry person to tell us what they need.”

Complete the Music Career Development survey by Friday, 18 September at midnight.
