On Thursday 3 November Help Musicians Northern Ireland (HMNI) will be launching at the Sound of Belfast. The programme, which runs through to Saturday 12 November also includes other HMNI events, ranging from musician workshops to a music bus tour of the city.
At the Sound of Belfast there are 31 events across the 10 days in 8 venues around the capital, taking place at the Mandela Hall, Lavery’s, Voodoo, The Elmwood Hall, The Empire, the MAC and The Eglantine Bar. The programme is coordinated by the Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast’s dedicated music hub where much of the activity will take place.
HMNI Launch Party
Partnering with Sound of Belfast 2016 as a platform to launch HMNI, join the team at Oh yeah Music Centre from 9pm on Thursday 3 November. There will be ground-breaking announcements and live music from NI Music Prize nominee Ryan Vail, plus one of the region's finest exports Pat Dam Smyth. Ready to Roll – Studio time for young bands
We have teamed up with Start Together Studio to help eight new acts cut their first recording for free on Sunday 6 November. The studio will set up a full back line of vintage and modern drums, amplifiers and instruments. Using top quality equipment and microphones engineers will capture, record, mix and deliver the tracks that very day. A Day of Rest
We invite you to a Day of Rest at Oh Yeah Music Centre between 12 - 4pm. Health and wellbeing, both physical and emotional, is at the core of music charity Help Musicians NI. Unwind and put yourself first for the afternoon and choose from a range of group activities such as meditation, yoga and the phenomenon that is mindfulness colouring.
