Help Musicians UK launches Artist Development Partner network

We're offering organisations grants of up to £5,000 to invest in outstandingly talented solo musicians and bands.

Our Talent Programme already helps around 400 talented early career musicians each year through a range of schemes, and we’re looking to build on these by reaching a greater diversity of up-and-coming talent.

Our new network of Artist Development Partners will help us identify and support the most exciting emerging popular and alternative musicians around the UK.

Venues, recording studios, festivals, promoters, development agencies, social enterprises, charities and others are encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate a proven track record of supporting and developing talent and are known and respected in the music industry.

Talent Programme Manager Tim Foxon says:

We’re really excited about the wealth of emerging talent out there and we want to work with organisations who are as passionate as we are about nurturing musicians at the start of their professional careers. We know there are organisations out there doing fantastic work supporting emerging artists and hope they will take up this opportunity.

The pilot initiative will focus on cities and regions outside London.

We will offer five new partners up to £5,000 to develop musicians who are creating outstanding original music, making an impact regionally and have the potential to take their career to the next level.

Funding could be used to support activities such as

  • mentoring or specialist advice
  • access to space or other facilities
  • marketing
  • live performance
  • networking
  • skills development
