This September, the prestigious piano makers Steinway & Sons will partner with Help Musicians UK (HMUK) for an extra special piano sale event at their exclusive London showroom.
For two days only, on Friday 28 September and Saturday 29 September, Steinway are offering the opportunity to purchase an iconic Steinway piano at a significantly reduced price, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Help Musicians UK. 100% of the donation will go directly to support musicians and those working in the music industry across the UK.
HMUK will also be hosting an exclusive invite-only event on Thursday 27 September at Steinway Hall with performances from UK Steinway ambassador Charles Owen as well as Ke Ma and Dominic Degavino, both pianists who have been supported by the charity.
Belinda Dee, Fundraising Director at Help Musicians UK said:
“We’re honoured to receive support from such a prestigious brand and would like to thank Steinway & Sons for their generosity. Everyone who buys a piano in the sale will be helping musicians like Ke Ma and Dominic Degavino, who have received vital support from us at pivotal moments in their careers.”
Craig Terry, Managing Director of Steinway & Sons had this to say:
“We’re keen to see a world where music thrives and Help Musicians UK have a critical role to play in supporting musicians and the wider music industry. That’s why we’re supporting them through this special sale, which is an exciting opportunity to buy a world-class piano and give to a good cause at the same time! The hope is that this will be the start of an ongoing partnership with HMUK that will see Steinway & Sons continue to give back to musicians across the country.”
The public sale will take place at the Steinway Hall showroom by appointment only.
