HMNI supports Atlantic Sessions for second year

Help Musicians NI is proud to be charity partner of the north coast’s Atlantic Sessions for the 2nd year running.

This year, we are pleased to be honouring musical legend, the late Henry McCullough at a free opening tribute event on Thursday 16 November at 7pm, hosted by BBC Radio Ulster’s champion of local music, DJ Ralph McLean, to be held at the beautiful Flowerfield Arts Centre, Causeway Coast & Glens creative hub in Portstewart.

This Atlantic Sessions Festival welcome event remembers an instinctive and intuitive guitarist and a proper rock and roll legend. From Woodstock to Wings, Henry was proud of his roots on the rugged north coast of Northern Ireland and passionate about helping fellow musicians in any way he could. The evening will feature performances from Sam Wickens & Roe, two of the three talented acts participating in HMNI’s signature 3:3 programme. In addition, there will be a keynote from CCGBC Lord Mayor, Cllr Joan Baird OBE, and an introduction to the work of HMNI and our association with Henry McCullough, from HMUK Director of External Affairs & Director of HMNI, Christine Brown.

The event will be followed by a showcase gig by PORTS featuring the Prima Quartet, and supported by Sam Wickens & Roe, at the Anchor Complex in Portstewart at 8.30pm at the Anchor Complex. Tickets are £6 - find out more here.

We hope to see you there!
