Launching our Career Development Bursaries

Following last weeks’ announcement of the winning artists to benefit from our Emerging Artists Fund, we’re excited to introduce our new Career Development Bursaries.

The bursaries are aimed at helping young professional musicians access exceptional career development opportunities in the UK and internationally.

News story imageApplicants could be an instrumentalist, singer, conductor, composer, songwriter or a small group, working in any musical genre. Primarily based in the UK, applicants must be aged between 21-30 years or have completed their recent stage of formal music education in the last five years.

Tim Foxon, our Talent Programme Manager, says: “We want to invest in talented emerging artists who are performing or creating great music and are already making an impact in their field. This is the latest in a series of new initiatives which will enable our Talent Programme to support more musicians in a targeted and effective way.”

Successful applicants can use the grants for activities such as participation in masterclasses, short courses, mentoring or intensive coaching.

The two application deadlines in 2015 are 18 September and 28 November. Visit the Career Development Bursaries page for full terms and conditions, guidelines and details on how to apply.
