Hailing from Cardiff, Lunar Bird delivers an atmospheric mixture of Dream Pop and Indie Psychedelia. Members of the band include RWCMD graduate, jazz singer, and synthesizer player, Roberta Musillami; multi-instrumentalist Francis George and drummer Ellie Strong.
The debut EP 'Daydreamer' (2018) was well reviewed and played on several radio programmes, notably on the Adam Walton show on BBC Music Introducing. Both the first single “Siren Scales”, released on Diamond Club (Brilliance), and the new single 'A Walk’, self-release, co-funded by BBC Horizons/Gorwellion, have had multiple airplays from the likes of BBC Radio Wales (e.g. Wales Mix with Bethan Elfyn), BBC Radio Cymru and Amazing Radio.
The singles, currently available in CD format as a double A-side single, precede the debut album release due this Summer.
Synth player Ross Davies recently joined the lineup, while former founding member and bass player Eliseo Di Malto continues to collaborate with Lunar Bird.
Previous performances include SWN Festival 2019, The Swansea Fringe 2019, Mr. Wolf's Bristol, O2 Academy Islington, The Fleece Bristol, Clwb Ifor Bach Cardiff. The band is also going to play Wales Goes Pop 2021.

We are going to use your funding for a very special project: the self-release of our debut album. In particular, this award is going to allow us to achieve our main goal, which is to make our album release as relevant as possible through two fundamental means: a professional PR and Marketing campaign from an experienced agency and a music video production for our third single. The project also involves promoting our releases on Facebook/Instagram using target ads, printing physical copies for the album in CD format and selling them online and setting a pre-sale campaign on Apple Music with TuneCore together with a giveaway campaign.
