Welsh musician Christopher Bowman started playing the trumpet at the age of 8 and has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales for six years, during which time he has performed in many prestigious venues in the UK and Germany and has been conducted by many world-renowned conductors, such as Carlo Rizzi, Jac van Steyn, Grant Llewelyn and Paul Daniel. Christopher studied at the Purcell School of Music and is currently studying at the University of Manchester for his Bachelor of Music, where his teacher is Jamie Prophet. Christopher was recently awarded a Scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music, London, where he will be undertaking a Master of Music (MMus) starting in September 2018, with tuition from Alastair Mackie, Jason Evans and Mark Calder.
