Dyskinetic is Kris Halpin's one man band exploring the intersection between music, technology and disability. Kris is primarily known for using Imogen Heap's groundbreaking MiMu Gloves to overcome disabling barriers, after Cerebral Palsy made live performance increasingly difficult. Dyskinetic has so far been almost exclusively a touring live work, with performances throughout the UK and Europe, and also in the US and Japan.
Dyskinetic has primarily been a touring work, which has of course had to stop during the Coronavirus pandemic. This has been a huge setback. This award will allow me to develop new work to be performed online and develop new ways of reaching my audience digitally.
