Grace is a 20 year old, third year Musical Theatre student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, originally from Liverpool. After talking inspiration from her grandfather who was a professional singer, she has been performing since the age of 6 in many shows with professional companies. These include, ‘Kate’ in the UK tour of Annie, Joseph and his amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Whistle Down the Wind and Evita. Grace was a long standing member of the Liverpool Empire Youth Theatre, taking a number of lead roles in the productions staged on the Empire including, ‘Rizzo’ in Grease, ‘Grizabella’ in Cats and ‘Deloris Van Cartier’ in the UK amateur premier of Sister Act in the North of England. She has also performed in London’s West End, as the solo singer at Her Majesty’s Theatre’s West End Gala and as ‘Tracy Atkinson’ in the Billy Elliott Youth Theatre project at the Victoria Palace theatre, after winning heats in Liverpool and York.

Grace was a featured vocalist on BBC radio Merseyside, promoting the Liverpool based theatre company ‘Triple Threat’ and for Children in Need Scotland and she is also a regular theatre reviewer for ‘The Reviews Hub’ in both Scotland and England. When applying for drama schools, Grace was accepted into both The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Since being at RCS she was chosen, in her second year, to be in the third year production of Chess the Musical which transferred to the Edinburgh Festival theatre, and played 'Ash' in a development and sharing of Glued-A New Musical at the RCS. Grace plays both the violin and piano and has learnt both of these instruments within her time at the Conservatoire.

Grace is honoured and so grateful to be receiving this award. The support will help her immensely throughout her third and final year of study and she would like to thank everyone at the Ian Fleming Scholarship Award and Help Musicians UK for this incredible opportunity.
