Isha Crichlow is a London-based clarinettist studying with Andrew Webster and Andrew Marriner, at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Isha is supported by Help Musicians UK.

Isha is passionate about chamber music and performs a range of repertoire with four different chamber groups at the Guildhall School including the Barbican Clarinet Quartet, who recently represented the Guildhall in a chamber-coaching day with recital at London’s Centre for Young Musicians. The quartet’s other performances including Julian Anderson’s Scherzo with Trains as part of a Guildhall Wind and Brass showcase concert, and a recital at St Stephen’s Walbrook, London.

As part of the Theodora Trio she won the Croydon Festival annual chamber music competition in 2012 as well as first prize in the chamber music section of the annual Music for Youth national festival in Birmingham in 2013.

During her studies at the Guildhall School Isha has performed in various projects including the contemporary group Ubu Ensemble's concert of Schoenberg's First Chamber Symphony and the esteemed opera course's productions of Wolf-Ferrari's Le donne curiose, and Julian Philips’ The Tale of Januarie (world premiere). As part of the Guildhall Symphonic Wind Ensemble Isha recorded one volume of the complete works of John Philip Sousa for band for the record label Naxos. She has also more recently performed as principal clarinet with the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Hall. 
Isha was principal clarinet of the London Schools Symphony Orchestra from 2011-2014. With the orchestra she toured Europe extensively and took on many of the major clarinet solos in the repertoire, including Kodaly’s Dances of Galanta and Sibelius’ Symphony no.1. Isha has performed with various orchestras including the London Mozart Players, Illyrian Ensemble, Asyla Ensemble, Orchestra T:40, Brio Symphony Orchestra, Aegis Orchestra and the London Mahler Orchestra. She was also a member of the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra in 2017.

As a soloist, Isha has performed Weber’s Grand Duo at the Royal Festival Hall in a showcase concert for the Rotary Club. She has also performed concertos with various ensembles, including the Tempest Symphony Orchestra (formerly Swan Orchestra), London Youth Wind Band and London Schools Chamber Orchestra. She was recently a finalist in the Guildhall Needlemakers’ Woodwind Prize.
Isha is also an experienced and dedicated instrumental teacher and has taught the clarinet at Wandsworth Music Academy since 2014.
