Lisa began as a singer at Chethams School of music, age 11, and then Guildhall School of Music and Drama, winning the Wyburd Trust award for Leider study. Following this she was artist in residence at the Banff Centre School of Fine Arts, Canada. Lisa has performed with all the major British opera companies including her highly acclaimed role of the 'Child' in Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, 'The Doctor of Myddfai' for Welsh National Opera. A versatile performer, she has sung 'Tiny Bunyan' in Brittens 'Paul Bunyan' at Royal Opera, Covent Garden, and also musicals, including 'Born Again' at Chichester Festival Theatre, but also her debut at Covent Garden as 'Barbarina'. Internationally known, she has sung 'Pamina' for Dijon Opera and 'Rimbaud' for Montpellier Opera, followed by concerts in Brazil with the St Pauls Cathedral Choir. A passionate exponent of the importance of text and voice science, throughout, she has continued to pass this on to her students, and is also an associate tutor for Edgehill University.
