Mandeep ('mandeepthemc') is a rapper and saxophonist training to become a psychiatrist. His musical approach focuses on short storytelling through rap inspired by the colourful characters encountered through his training. Alongside this he runs creative workshops and neurodiverse events involving service users with creative talent. He has performed at venues ranging from Roundhouse to Barbican via commissioned projects for TED, NHS and in support of artists including Saul Williams and Stephen Fry. He is an active member of London's thriving jazz community through his neurodiverse event 'The Prop Up', and is set to release his debut album this year, as well as presenting academic research on hip-hop in urban mental health at various conferences internationally.
