Austrian- born bassoonist Susanne Simma graduated with a Master degree from the Royal College of Music, studying with Martin Gatt, Julie Price, Martin Field and Andrea de Flammineis. Her study was supported by the Lions Club Vorarlberg as well as the Impuls Privatstiftung. Additionally, she gained the prestigious “Leverhulme Orchestral Mentorship” for her final year. During the Bachelor study, Susanne was twice awarded the scholarship given to talented musicians. She has participated in masterclasses by Richard Galler, David Seidel, Allen Smith, Lyndon Watts, Daniel Jemison.
She has been invited to participate in the Banff Masterclasses in 2016 and her place is generously supported by Help Musicians UK.

Susanne is much in demand as a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician and after winning a successful audition, she performed as the Co - Principal bassoon of Southbank Sinfonia for their 2013 season and has been a founding member of the Ellis Ensemble.
