Yulia Vershinina has performed at many prestigious venues such as the Bridgewater Hall, the Hamburg Musikhalle, the Great Concert Hall of the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels and the Concert Hall of the Royal Northern College of Music. At thirteen she won her first international competition and at sixteen, following another first-prize, Yulia was invited to perform at a gala concert in Carnegie Hall, New York. Further, she performed in the Rising Stars concert at the Vth International Music Festival in Vianna Do Castelo, Portugal.
A devoted chamber musician, she performed alongside Peter Cropper as part of the RNCM Friday Chamber Series. She also attended the Britten Pears Course in Aldeburgh and the Tunnell Trust Course in Coll with the Trio Mise-en-Scène. Currently, Yulia is playing in Albireo Piano Duo with Egle Sarmaviciute. In 2015 they won the RNCM Piano Duo Prize. Their upcoming engagements include performances at the RNCM Keyboard Festival, at Leeds College of Music, as well as participation at the Chicago International Piano Duo Competition in June 2016.
Yulia is currently studying on the MMus programme at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Richard Ormrod, with generous support from the Help Musicians UK Postgraduate Award.
