Double your donation to Help Musicians with the Big Give’s Kind2Mind

One donation, twice the impact

Between Tuesday 14 May and Tuesday 28 May we are taking part in the Big Give’s Kind2Mind, a national fundraising campaign for mental health charities where every donation made is doubled.

Will you support positive mental health in the music industry?

Money raised will provide vital funds for our sister charity, Music Minds Matter, offering dedicated mental health support to the entire music industry.

Many people don’t understand the unique lifestyle that freelance musicians lead but with Music Minds Matter, I was talking to people who have musical backgrounds. I could be completely honest about how I was feeling and knew I would be understood.

Freelance musicians are most at risk of poor mental wellbeing

30% of musicians reported living with a mental health condition, with the vast majority of musicians (73%) working as freelancers which means that if they experience a mental health crisis, they are isolated from the traditional workplace support structures that would help to manage their health.

This is why our sister charity Music Minds Matter exists.

Prevention is central to Music Minds Matter’s approach

Each year more musicians contact Music Minds Matter for support, a service we couldn’t provide without the support of our donors.

Prevention is at the core of Music Minds Matters’ approach. It provides support to promote positive mental health among the UK’s musical community. The services are available to anyone working in the music industry and include: a free, confidential helpline, peer-led video resources and online events aimed at promoting self care.

Money raised through the Big Give’s Kind2Mind will go toward providing this essential support.

We need your help to reach our target

Every penny you donate goes straight to our front-line mental health work helping more people across the industry to access our support through Music Minds Matter.

During the two weeks of the Big Give’s Kind2Mind every donation made online, up to £10,000 will be matched by the Bryan Adams Foundation and the Reed Foundation.

That means that for every £1 donated by our supporters, musicians will receive £2.

Donate between 12 noon on Tuesday 14 May and 12 noon on Tuesday 28 May to ensure that we reach our goal. With your help we can hit our target and unlock £10,000 of matched funding.

Your support means we can help more musicians to access mental health support

The Big Give Kind2Mind runs from 12 noon on Tuesday 14 May and ends 12 noon on Tuesday 28 May,
