Double your donation to Help Musicians during the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2023

One donation, twice the impact

Between Tuesday 28 November and Tuesday 5 December we are taking part in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge, a national fundraising campaign where every donation made is doubled.

Money raised will provide vital funds for our sister charity, Music Minds Matter, offering dedicated mental health support to the entire music industry.

Professional musicians are facing multiple challenges

2023 continues to be a challenging year for the majority of musicians, and while the festive season is a joyful time for many of us, there is no doubt that this winter will bring added difficulties for so many musicians across the UK.

Our recent Musicians’ Census results revealed the combination of issues musicians are facing, particularly around barriers to earning potential and the lack of opportunities to build a sustainable career – 43% of musicians earn less than £14,000 a year from music, with over half of musicians needing to take on additional work alongside their music career. This is leading to low and unpredictable earnings, which has in turn taken a toll on mental health.

Calls to Music Minds Matter have gone up 200% in the last two years

These ongoing difficulties are causing an intense strain and psychological burden for many in the music industry and this year we have seen rising numbers of people turning to Music Minds Matter for support.

We need your help to reach our target

Your support means we can help more musicians this winter.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge runs from 12 noon on Tuesday 28 November and ends 12 noon on Tuesday 5 December.
