Cameron Rhodes is a Third Year BA (Hons) Musical Theatre student at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Cameron is originally from Rossendale in Lancashire and has had a passion for performing since he was young taking part in all of the school productions and amateur dramatics.
Since then he has gone on to train at a professional level at Emil Dale Academy on their Extreme 2 Year Musical Theatre course, and from there went on to train at the prestigious Mountview Academy on their 3 year Musical Theatre degree course.
Throughout his training he has been lucky enough to have been supported by his amazing family who have all given him so much to get him to where he is now, and he would like to thank them for all the sacrifices they have made to allow him to pursue this career path.
Cameron recently performed in the choir at the London Coliseum in the European Premiere of Boublil and Schönberg's 'The Pirate Queen' alongside West End stars Rachel Tucker and Jai McDowall. He is also a recipient of the Ian Fleming Musical Theatre Award.
In September I will be returning to Mountview to start my third year on the Musical Theatre course. This year is one of the most crucial in the training and the support from Help Musicians will be invaluable in allowing me to spend more time focussing on my work.
Throughout my training I have had to balance the intensity of the course alongside many different jobs in order to afford to live and train in London, and the funding from Help Musicians will allow me to take some pressure of myself and my family to fund this. I am extremely thankful to Help Musicians for the amazing award they have offered me and I cannot thank them enough for the help they have provided to not just myself but my family who have done everything they can to financially support me.
Thank you Help Musicians!
