Ivo Neame is an award-winning pianist and composer. In addition to leading his own bands, he is a vital cog in several of European jazz's most forward-looking groups including Phronesis and the Marius Neset Quintet. He regularly performs at jazz festivals worldwide, collaborating with ensembles as diverse as the Frankfurt Radio Big Band and the London Sinfonietta.
Ivo discovered music at an early age by playing his parents' piano, albeit with drum sticks. Ivo went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music, and since leaving in 2003 he has performed and recorded with highly esteemed musicians at home and and abroad such as Julian Argüelles, Kenny Wheeler and Hermeto Pascoal. His sixth album under his own name "Multiverse" was released on Edition Records in 2020.
"Ivo Neame is one of the very best jazz pianists on the UK scene"
"That Neame is one of the most interesting jazz pianists of his generation may be clear. That he is getting better and better is too. The 10 years of almost constant being on the road with bands has given him a prominent role in the front line of British jazz."

I'm intending to remotely record a large ensemble album featuring some of the finest jazz musicians in the world. These include Chris Potter, Ambrose Akinmusire and Linda Oh. My aim is to record this album remotely during lockdown; I will also produce videos of the recorded tracks and publish everything on social media.
Help Musicians have helped me by kindly providing funding; this will help me to cover the costs of musicians' fees for remote recording and mixing and mastering engineers' fees. I will also use this funding to purchase a new computer and audio equipment; as a result I will be able to produce professional standard audio recordings from home. Help Musicians also provide expert advice on effective music business practices and fan engagement strategy; this advice will be particularly useful for me during the lockdown period.
