Johnny Woodham is a London based jazz trumpet player, composer and educator. He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the summer of 2014. In 2015/2016 he won a Help Musicians UK postgraduate award and is now studying towards his MA in music education and performance as an Archers Scholar at Trinity Laban. This year Johnny has played with Trinity's Contemporary jazz ensemble including dates at the London jazz festival and Ronnie Scott's. Collaborating with South London screen printer, Bob Brown, he has been working on 'Zero', a series of exhibitions/live improvised performances. Johnny appears regularly at Olivers Jazz Bar as featured soloist or as part of The Louise Balkwill Quintet. He is currently composing for his latest project, Lavaheads, a dance influenced quartet exploring polyrhythms and electronics.
