Liza is an alternative singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a distinctive and original sound. Her five piece band combines catchy songs with intricate recorder, saxophone and piano improvisations. Latest EP 'Beyond The Blonde' features vivid music together with original graphics, audiovisuals and a short story.
Originally a classical clarinettist who trained at Trinity College of Music, London, her life was transformed when she was diagnosed in 2008 with a rare form of reflex epilepsy, triggered by playing certain patterns of notes. “I had to re-learn how to play”, Liza says. “I spent several years without playing a note..... I just couldn’t believe that I was back performing again.”
She has since collaborated with a wide range of artists including James Holden on his latest release ‘The Animal Spirits’. Currently she is working on several original multimedia projects. Her first album is expected in 2019.
