Rebecca Barry is a mezzo soprano from Manchester. She is currently in her first year of Postgraduate studies at RNCM studying under Jane Irwin supported by the D'Oyly Carte Trust.

Rebecca was a member of the Junior RNCM and was generously supported by the Friends of the RNCM. Upon leaving JRNCM she was awarded The Helen Latto 'Soroptimists 'prize for Singing.

Winner of the James Martin Oncken Song Prize, Rebecca is passionate about song repertoire and singer is a member of the RNCM Songsters.

In 2016 she made her international debut in the world premiere of David Blake and Keith Warners' Icarus: an opera at Teatro Poliziano, Montepulciano, Italy under Roland Böer.

Operatic roles this year include Irene in a staged production of Handel's Theodora under the direction of John Ramster and Leonie in La Vie Parisienne.

Future engagements include performing as part of the professional chorus at The Grange Festival Summer 2017.
