Samantha is a British/Australian soprano studying with Yvonne Kenny on her first year on the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (GSMD) as a Baroness de Turckheim, Tait Memorial Trust and Countess of Munster Trust Scholar as well as a Nora Goodridge Developing Artist. 

Recently, Samantha completed an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma and Intensive Masters of Music at the Royal Northern College of Music, as a Sir John Fisher Foundation and Independent Opera Scholar, under the tutelage of Mary Plazas. While at the RNCM, she sang the role of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte and the title role in Handel’s Theodora. 

Samantha is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Leverhulme Royal Northern College of Music Award, the Dame Eva Turner Award and the Michael and Joyce Kennedy Award for the singing of Strauss. Samantha was awarded a 2017 RNCM Gold Medal.

Samantha is very keen to explore more of the recital platform and has performed in venues such as The Wigmore Hall and The Foundlings Museum.

Having been member of the ensemble in Le nozze di Figaro at Longborough in 2016, Samantha was delighted to return to Longborough in July for her debut as Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. In September she sang the role of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with British Youth Opera followed by Anna Gomez in The Consul with GSMD.

2018/2019 brings exciting news for Samantha as she performs the role of Anne Trulove in The Rake’s Progress with British Youth Opera in September and then with the GSMD Opera School, Samantha will revisit the role of Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte and perform the role of Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
