As a theatre-maker, she is currently assisting award-winning opera directors Thomas Guthrie, on concert play about the final days of Purcell’s life, Burying the Dead, touring arts centres, village halls and churches up and down the UK in 2018/19; and Toria Banks, on Young Women, Old Women, Dead Women, a piece of gig theatre shining a light on operatic repertoire by women from 1600 to the present day, touring in 2019.

Simone has recently formed H E R A with Linda Hirst and Toria Banks, an opera company specialising in touring untold stories by underrepresented artists. In the past she worked for theatre companies Cheek by Jowl and Paines Plough, specialising in touring work and accessibility.
