Born in Manchester and raised in Northumberland, Tomas started practicing and performing music from the age of 12, primarily playing electric bass. From then on he has been playing consistently in various settings from gigs to theatre. Tomas has toured the UK as part of a theatre group (including the Edinburgh Fringe) as well as travelling western Europe with a Jazz band. He is also playing a number a UK festivals this summer with Afrobeat-Funk outfit, ‘Forefathers’. As well as extensive live performances, Tomas has also had experience in music management, acting as the President of the Music Player’s Society at the University of Sheffield where he was responsible for over one hundred musicians.

Although he studied Physics as his undergraduate degree, Tomas’ love for music has continued to blossom, leading him to pursue a career in music. After securing his place on the MA Music in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, he gained the support of Help Musicians UK. Having focused his efforts in Jazz, Funk and Neo-Soul, Tomas endeavours to challenge the boundaries of these genres, widening perceptions in new and exciting ways.
