The Proms showcases some of the world’s finest musicians, but reaching that stage often takes years of talent, dedication and support.
This year, 1 in 5 UK soloists performing at the Proms have received support from Help Musicians.
For more than 100 years, we’ve helped musicians at pivotal moments in their careers, career development, financial support, practical guidance and wellbeing services to help them overcome barriers, seize opportunities and build sustainable careers.

Over the past three years, we have invested £17 million in supporting musicians across the UK.
In 2025 alone, we delivered:
- 13,000 interventions supporting musicians’ lives and careers
- £0.9 million invested in career development support
- 345 musicians financially supported to grow their careers
