Two people playing guitar together

We offer a wide range of services to support retired musicians with both their physical and financial wellbeing.

Physical wellbeing

If you’re managing ongoing health issues, or struggling with new medical conditions that have arisen, we may be able to help.

We can offer information, advice and guidance on managing physical health issues. We can connect you to other specialist services, arrange health assessments with our trusted partners, and in some cases offer financial support to help with health-related costs.

Financial wellbeing

We are also here to support you with your financial wellbeing, including in retirement. Our support can involve:

  • Advice, guidance and signposting to help you manage your finances, seek financial support and make plans for your financial future
  • Grants to support living costs and one-off expenses, depending on your circumstances

Eligibility

To qualify for our retired musicians service you must:

  • Be state retirement age or older
  • Receive primary income from pension
  • Since the age of 18 have worked for at least 5 years in music, earning at least 40% of your income from music across that time

To ensure that you qualify for support, we also ask that you read our charity eligibility policy in full before applying.

Please note that if you have a disability, our eligibility criteria are different, and can be found in the eligibility policy.

The application process

So we can support you as effectively as possible, we ask that applications are made through our online portal, which you can access below. For more information about what we will ask you, and what information we are looking for, please download our application guidance.
