Daniel studied Orchestral Conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music with Clark Rundell and Mark Heron. He has also taken part in masterclasses with Sir Mark Elder, Juanjo Mena, Mark Stringer, Nicolás Pasquet and Johannes Schlaefi.

In 2015, Daniel made his debut with Manchester Camerata. He has also been an assistant conductor to the BBC Philharmonic and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras. As a conductor for dance, Daniel has been an assistant conductor to the contemporary dance company, Rambert and in 2016, acted as the cover and off-stage conductor to The Royal Ballet’s production of ‘The Winter’s Tale.’ Daniel’s work with the Soundscape Chamber Orchestra has led to on-going collaborations with KSDance and the Allegrodance Touring Company.

Whilst at the Royal Northern College of Music, Daniel was awarded the Sir John Manduell Prize and the Brierley / Kershaw Prize for Conducting. He was supported by the David Edwards Bursary.
