Faeland’s music has been described as “soul balm”, “ethereal” and “worldly yet otherworldly”. Their debut album All My Swim attracted widespread acclaim in 2018 – championed by BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing amongst others. At its core are singer-songwriter Rebecca Nelson and guitarist / multi-instrumentalist Jacob Morrison from Stroud, UK. They regularly perform with guest musician Martin Solomon (accordion, Celtic harp & violin).

Faeland’s music blends folk traditions from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean with singer-songwriter stylings and a slice of pop - creating a captivating sound with instant appeal. Their songs deal with the deeper themes of humanity such as love, vulnerability, loss, healing, and magic. This duo is fully committed to making music that changes lives for the better and adds something good to human existence.

Faeland's second studio album is due for release at the end of 2020.

Funding from Help Musicians means that we are able to fully fund our planned promotional campaign for a new album, despite losing expected revenue from cancelled concerts during Covid-19. The funding will support our new business plan and strategy; to create a sustainable online business within today’s modern music industry. This new approach is one which will be complimented by, rather than reliant on, touring.

With our new online strategy, our response to maintaining our business during Covid-19 and the funding from Help Musicians, we can already see how Faeland might emerge from this stronger than ever.

We’re looking forwards to the extra support from Help Musicians that we’ll have access to alongside this funding. We have developed our business skills but have never had any input from an expert and the plans we hold can be overwhelming at times. We really value the opportunity to have someone hear our plans and ideas. We also need help to refine and make the most of our strategies and ensure that what we're planning is sustainable.

We're about to embark and grow and we know that such times in a business can be "make or break". Additional support will help us to make a success of this next exciting phase of Faeland.
