Liam McNally is a Baritone studying at the RNCM under the tutelage of Peter Alexander Wilson. He began his training at Chetham's School of Music. Liam is an RNCM Songster and was the 2017 recipient of both the conservatoires Alexander Young Prize for Singing and Chris Petty award for English Song. In 2016, he was also awarded the Brigitte Fassbander award for Lieder interpretation. Whilst at the RNCM, his Operatic appearances include Les Surintendant des Plaisirs in Massenet's Cendrillon, Antoine in La Vie Parisienne and chorus in Handel's Theodora and Weill's Street Scene. Roles in RNCM Opera Scenes include Germano in Rossini's La Scala di Seta, Mengotto in Piccini's La Buona Figliola, Demetrius in Britten's A Midsummer Nights Dream, Bob in Menotti's Old Maid and the Thief and Steward in Dove's Flight. Professionally, Liam performed as a member of the Burgess Chorus in Bergen Philharmonic's 2017 performances of Peter Grimes, in Bergen and at Edinburgh International Festival. Liam also enjoyed an active early musical life, which included featuring on two No.1 Classical Albums and a performance as Papal Soloist in Hyde Park for Pope Benedict XVI.Future engagements include participation as one of the finalists in the RNCM's annual Kennedy award for the singing of Strauss. In the summer he will form part of an 8 member chorus with La Serenissima for performances of Brescianello’s baroque opera Tisbe.
