Upcoming projects include founding Raymond’s ‘Thinking Minds Project’, which aims to extend that clarinet’s new music repertoire in collaboration with composers across the globe, as well as visual artists and poets in a series of new-music recitals in London. He will be performing at the Mostly Modern Festival this year in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA alongside the American Modern Orchestra this summer. Raymond has frequently performed in collaboration with the new-music ensemble UBU, which is resident at the Drawing Room art gallery. He has appeared as a soloist for the new-music radio show ‘SoundOut!’ earlier this year and will be appearing at the Barbican Centre playing as part of the Sound Unbound festival. Recent performances include Nielsen Clarinet Concerto with DeHallivand Philharmonic Orchestra, and frequently appears with the Orchestra For Earth, Outcry Ensemble and many other London-based orchestras. His upcoming recitals are to include his clarinet duo ‘DuoBolical’ to promote new clarinet duo music, as well as to promote the bass Bass and Eb clarinets as solo instruments in their own right.
Additionally as a composer, he has recently premiered his pieces ‘The World Is Too Much With Us’, ‘Sequenza-Poem’ and ‘Study in Green’.
He is grateful for Help Musicians UK, Royal Philharmonic Society and The Gillian and Freddie Martin Award for their financial support.
